An Inspired Chat with Julia Letcher of Phoenix

We’re looking forward to introducing you to Julia Letcher. Check out our conversation below.

Julia, so good to connect and we’re excited to share your story and insights with our audience. There’s a ton to learn from your story, but let’s start with a warm up before we get into the heart of the interview. What’s more important to you—intelligence, energy, or integrity?
Integrity is the most important to me.

My parents always raised us kids to do the right thing. Even if it was difficult or challenging. I believe integrity will get you further in this world than anything else. You can be intelligent or have great energy, but if you don’t have integrity when facing a tough situation. You’ll never be successful.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Julia Letcher and I am a photographer from Phoenix, AZ. The style of photography I shoot in are Macro and Landscape.

What makes my photography so interesting and special is how I manage to capture all of the minute details that may go unseen by the naked eye. Whether that be a bee sitting in a flower or dew drops on a grapefruit.

Currently, I am working on a series of photographing food on bright backgrounds.

Okay, so here’s a deep one: Who taught you the most about work?
My parents. They are the hardest working individuals Iv’e ever met. They’re probably the reason why after working my 8 to 5 job, I go home and work more on my photography for another 3 or 4 hours.

I learned from of my parents that hardwork does truly pay off in the end.

If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
The one thing kind I would say to my younger self would be, you are a capable, strong girl. Do not let anyone tell you otherwise.

Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. Is the public version of you the real you?
Absolutely, I don’t ever pretend to be anything I’m not. To be honest, no one is paying attention anyways, just be you.

Thank you so much for all of your openness so far. Maybe we can close with a future oriented question. When do you feel most at peace?
I feel most at peace when I am photographing. Of all the hobbies I’ve tried in my life thus far, photography has always remained. On a bad day, I can pick up my camera and instantly feel the negativity wash away from my soul.
