We’re looking forward to introducing you to Jenny Dupuis. Check out our conversation below.
Good morning Jenny, it’s such a great way to kick off the day – I think our readers will love hearing your stories, experiences and about how you think about life and work. Let’s jump right in? Have any recent moments made you laugh or feel proud?
Yes! I’ve been working on cueing a challenging combo move in my indoor cycling class—and honestly, combos can be tough for me too. But I’m always looking for ways to challenge both myself and the class so we can grow together. In a recent class, I broke the combo down across three songs, and by the time we got to the third one, something really special happened. I looked around and saw everyone crushing the sequence without me even having to cue it. The room was full of energy, confidence, and heart. I couldn’t stop smiling. After all the effort we put in, seeing it all come together like that was such a proud moment for me.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m deeply passionate about making a positive impact—whether that’s through photography or in a group fitness setting. I love encouraging others to push themselves, grow, and feel seen.
Through my photography brand, DOOP (@doop.media on Instagram—it’s a nickname from my best friend and a fun play on my last name), I capture people, places, businesses, and moments in a way that feels raw, real, and true to who they are. It’s all about creating something meaningful and unique to each person.
As a fitness instructor, I get to make a difference in another way—by creating movement experiences that feel good, motivating others with words of encouragement, making people laugh, and building community through shared energy. For me, movement is best when it’s set to the beat of music. I’m the kind of person who gets chills when a certain song hits just right, so syncing workouts to music is my happy place. I just love being a hype woman—whether I’m behind the lens or on the podium—my goal is always to leave people better than I found them.
Right now, I’m working on an event that flips the script on the phrase “health is wealth.” To me, wealth is health—and that means more than finances. It’s about filling your cup with knowledge, community, and self-awareness so you can live a confident, autonomous life. The event will feature an all-levels HIIT-style workout to music, guided meditation, meaningful connection, and honest conversations about the challenges we face today. It’s about peeling back the layers and discovering something new—together.
Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. What’s a moment that really shaped how you see the world?
It’s hard to pinpoint just one moment—it’s really been a collection of experiences. Studying photojournalism in college had a huge impact on me. The training, the people I met, and the stories I was exposed to all shaped the way I see the world. I learned early on that the power of storytelling should never be underestimated. Real stories—honest, human, sometimes messy—can shift perspectives, build empathy, and even change lives. They definitely changed mine.
I’ve always been deeply curious about what makes people who they are. Life is so nuanced—it can be beautiful, terrifying, tragic, joyful, or even just… quiet. And you never really know what someone is carrying with them. That’s why I believe even the smallest interaction can be meaningful. Just taking the time to truly see someone—to listen, to understand—can make all the difference. That belief sits at the core of everything I do, whether I’m behind the camera or leading a fitness class.
What fear has held you back the most in your life?
Fear holds me back more than I’d like to admit. I’ve always felt like everything has to be “in order” for me to make a leap into something that I want to do. I’m trying to make more moves even when everything isn’t in place.
Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. Whom do you admire for their character, not their power?
I admire Christian Nelson and Ryan Coyle, owners/founders of Groundwrk (where I coach rhythm-based indoor cycling classes (RIDE) and HIIT-style classes with free weights, LIFT). From day 1 they have been about community, collaboration and intentional programming. No ego is involved, which you see often in fitness studios. They are understanding, kind and really the best bosses you could ever ask for. I’ll always fight for them!
Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. When do you feel most at peace?
Peace for me comes in different forms. Sometimes it’s in bed, cuddling my dog, just unplugging. Other times, it’s vibing on a beat-heavy jog in RIDE or guiding a meditation at the end of my LIFT classes—moving and breathing with intention.
I also find peace working with photography clients who truly get it, creating something meaningful together. And, bonus points if I’m anywhere near water, I feel calm and connected.
To me, peace isn’t just a moment—it’s a rhythm and a mindset that helps us grow stronger and more grounded every day.
