An Inspired Chat with Jennifer Stone of Scottsdale

We’re looking forward to introducing you to Jennifer Stone. Check out our conversation below.

Jennifer, a huge thanks to you for investing the time to share your wisdom with those who are seeking it. We think it’s so important for us to share stories with our neighbors, friends and community because knowledge multiples when we share with each other. Let’s jump in: What’s the most surprising thing you’ve learned about your customers?
Eleanor Roosevelt said, “Happiness is not a goal. It’s a by-product of a life well-lived.”

After 15+ years of working with clients from all backgrounds, I have come to know and appreciate that every person has a built-in desire for wholeness. Wholeness includes a desire for good health, abundance of opportunities, prosperity, great relationships, and a life well lived. How we attain wholeness, however, can vary in different ways. Some pursue it through wealth and power, while others define wholeness through marriage and children. Whatever the direction, the essence of wholeness means it is a life well lived through joy, connection, alignment, purpose, and meaning.

But no matter the station in life, education, familial bonds, cultural beliefs, or background, including what vocation, occupation, status, or accolades and wealth one has amassed; in the end, it’s less about “having everything” and more about being at peace with yourself, including striving to leave an impact or a legacy that brought some happiness to those we love and to the world.

I continue to be surprised, impressed, and inspired by this revelation. And I am grateful for their trust in allowing me to see this side of their humanity.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Founded in 2011 by Jen Stone, Feng Shui by Jen® is a distinguished Classical Feng Shui consulting firm and school headquartered in Scottsdale, Arizona. With a foundation in integrity forged through her early career as a CPA and forensic auditor at PwC and KPMG, Jen transitioned to a more spiritually-aligned and creative path—bringing analytical rigor and deep empathy into her Feng Shui practice.

In 2016, I was conferred the distinguished Accreditation Title as the First and Only Accredited Feng Shui Master in North America by the prestigious International Feng Shui Association (IFSA) in Singapore. I was also hand-selected and personally mentored by Grand Master Raymond Lo in Hong Kong. In 2014, I began representing the Raymond Lo School of Feng Shui & Destiny in the United States offering certification programs on Classical Feng Shui and BaZi (Chinese Astrology). While primarily based in Scottsdale, Arizona, I have previously traveled extensively around the world to places like Dubai, Singapore, Tokyo, Istanbul, Shanghai, Toronto, and the United States teaching and consulting.

I published my debut book, The First Guidebook for Feng Shui Enthusiasts in 2014. From 2018-2021, I also launched a Feng Shui magazine, Feng Shui Journal, which aimed to highlight professionals and experts in their respective fields. The magazine enjoyed great success with over 200 articles authored by 50 experts from 13 countries and distributed worldwide in 5 continents.

My primary work centers around offering:
(1) Feng Shui consultations in residential and commercial properties, new construction, and land development;
(2) BaZi consultation (Chinese birth chart reading) for individuals, small business owners, executives, couples, families, and business partners;
(3) teaching formal certification programs on Feng Shui and BaZi; and
(4) speaking engagements on a variety of topics on Chinese Metaphysics at summits, conferences, and sponsored events

Appreciate your sharing that. Let’s talk about your life, growing up and some of topics and learnings around that. Who saw you clearly before you could see yourself?
My father. He always knew I could do anything. While I’ve always been independent and a bit rebellious, he only ever continued to shower me with unconditional love, never forcing upon me his personal fears, concerns, or anxieties about the world. But simply lived out his values in a quiet and gentle way that my younger self did not see until life matured me. Only then I was able to see—and appreciate—how he exemplified a steady force of love and confidence, always bringing out my best qualities, and being my #1 cheerleader. He knew, without a doubt, that I was worthy of everything I desired and set out to do.

If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
It’s perfectly fine to change your mind. Life will happen and lead you to many places and you will find that, as your heart and mind expand, you will discover new passions and interests that may lead you far away from the original plan. But you will always have everything you need and more, as long as you believe in yourself, trust your instincts, have faith, and keep good company around you.

So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. What truths are so foundational in your life that you rarely articulate them?
My Catholic faith. It’s a deeply personal relationship that I safeguard as it shapes and fortifies me in every way. While my faith does influence my views of my earthly existence, I do not force my personal views on others; rather, I simply try to embody being a kind, understanding, helpful, and generous person to anyone willing to learn more about themselves, particularly those who are curious, have a deep desire to live their best lives, and make a positive impact to those around them.

Before we go, we’d love to hear your thoughts on some longer-run, legacy type questions. If you knew you had 10 years left, what would you stop doing immediately?
Worrying! A healthy dose of worrying is part of our human experience, especially for caretakers. When you are responsible for others, one shoulders a different load of burden that creates a kind of suffering. While we all can strive to worry less about the frivolous things like what others think or disappointing others, everyone has similar types of worries that we can mutually agree on. Things like financial security, safety, health, and basic essentials. But if I knew my times was so limited on this great earth, then I would gladly release all of that tension and just live in the present moment and have zero cares for tomorrow! haha
