We’re looking forward to introducing you to Forouzan Madhi & Hamid Souzandeh. Check out our conversation below.
Forouzan & Hamid, it’s always a pleasure to learn from you and your journey. Let’s start with a bit of a warmup: Have any recent moments made you laugh or feel proud?
Absolutely! One recent moment that made me feel both proud and laugh a little was just reflecting on how far I’ve come. It was such a big change, shifting from doing eyebrows to working at a tech company—but I did it! I stepped completely out of my comfort zone, and now I’m doing an amazing job keeping it up. It’s wild to think about where I started and where I am now. Sometimes I just have to laugh at the contrast, but it’s a proud kind of laugh—like, “Wow, I really did that.”
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hi, my name is Forouzan Madhi. I hold a Master’s degree in Business, and for as long as I can remember, I’ve dreamed of building something of my own. That dream led me to open two beauty studios in Upstate New York over the course of seven years, where I specialized in microblading and helping clients feel confident and beautiful.
In 2019, I took a leap of faith and moved to the Valley to grow my career even further. That’s when I launched Fabulous Microblading in Scottsdale—my third studio and a true reflection of everything I had worked so hard to build. It was more than a business; it was my passion brought to life.
After a decade of entrepreneurship and building a brand from the ground up, I felt ready for a new challenge. That’s when I made a bold shift into the tech world—an entirely different space, but one I was eager to explore. Today, I’m proud to say that I’ve joined PsiQuantum as an Office Manager, where I’m thriving in an environment that pushes me to grow every day.
My journey—from shaping brows to shaping systems in a cutting-edge tech company—has been anything but conventional. But it’s a path that reflects my drive, resilience, and belief in reinvention. I’m proud of how far I’ve come, and even more excited about where I’m headed next.
Appreciate your sharing that. Let’s talk about your life, growing up and some of topics and learnings around that. What was your earliest memory of feeling powerful?
One of my earliest memories of feeling truly powerful was when I opened my very first studio in upstate New York. I remember standing in the space after all the hard work—setting it up, getting licensed, ordering equipment, building a client base from scratch—and realizing, “I did this.”
It wasn’t just about owning a business; it was about proving to myself that I could take an idea, pour everything I had into it, and bring it to life. That moment—turning the key, walking in, seeing the space ready for clients—made me feel unstoppable. It was the beginning of something so much bigger, and I think that’s when I truly stepped into my power.
Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
Yes, there was definitely a time when I almost gave up. It was when my family and I found out that my husband got a job in the Bay Area. That news hit hard—because it meant I was going to have to leave behind the business I had worked so hard to build. After years of pouring my heart into it, the idea of starting over felt overwhelming.
For a moment, I truly thought about giving up. But instead, I let that fear push me to grow. I reminded myself of who I am—someone who doesn’t back down. I started applying for different jobs, exploring new paths, and opening myself up to opportunities I never would have considered before. That challenging moment became a turning point. It made me stronger, more adaptable, and even more proud of how far I’ve come.
I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. What’s a cultural value you protect at all costs?
A cultural value I protect at all costs is respect—especially for others’ time, effort, and individuality. Whether it’s in business, family, or community, I believe respect creates the foundation for everything else: trust, growth, collaboration, and success.
In my studios and now in the tech world, I make sure everyone feels seen, heard, and valued. I’ve learned that when you lead with respect, you create environments where people feel safe to be themselves and motivated to do their best. It’s a value I was raised with, and one I carry with me in every space I enter.
Thank you so much for all of your openness so far. Maybe we can close with a future oriented question. If you knew you had 10 years left, what would you stop doing immediately?
If I knew I had 10 years left, I would stop doubting myself immediately.
No more second-guessing decisions, holding back ideas, or waiting for the “perfect” time. I’d stop wasting energy on fear and start living even more boldly—with intention, passion, and confidence. Time is too precious to spend it playing small. I’d focus fully on what brings me joy, what fuels my purpose, and the people I love. Every moment would matter—and I wouldn’t let self-doubt steal a single one of them.
