We’re looking forward to introducing you to Eunice Yoo. Check out our conversation below.
Hi Eunice, thank you so much for taking time out of your busy day to share your story, experiences and insights with our readers. Let’s jump right in with an interesting one: What battle are you avoiding?
I’m avoiding the battle of self-doubt. Instead, I’m learning to lean into self-love—giving myself breaks, rewarding little wins, and just allowing time to heal and recharge.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hi, I’m Eunice Yoo, owner and photographer of Stories by Mintysnaps. I started my business in Michigan in 2015, and when my family and I moved to Arizona in 2018, I carried that passion with me and continued to grow here.
Art and storytelling have always been part of who I am. With a background in art and design, becoming a mom deepened my love for photography. It started with capturing my twin boys, and quickly became my way of preserving life’s fleeting moments. Now, as a mom of three, I’m honored to give that same gift to my clients—timeless images that bring back the sweetest memories.
Okay, so here’s a deep one: What’s a moment that really shaped how you see the world?
Becoming a mom changed the way I see the world—it made me think about the kind of place my children will grow up in. It taught me the importance of spreading kindness and caring for people, nature, and everything around us. I’m always learning and growing, striving to be a better person so I can set the best example for my kids.
If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
I’d say—be brave. It’s okay to fail, because every time you do, you get the chance to get back up and try again. Don’t hold back from starting something just because you’re afraid of failing—the only way to grow is by going through it.
Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. What’s a cultural value you protect at all costs?
The cultural value I protect is showing respect and kindness to elders. I deeply value the wisdom they carry, and in my culture, we’ve always been taught the importance of honoring and respecting them—a lesson I continue to pass down.
Before we go, we’d love to hear your thoughts on some longer-run, legacy type questions. If you knew you had 10 years left, what would you stop doing immediately?
I would stop worrying and let go of the fear of what the future might hold. I’d live each day to the fullest—loving my family and the people around me deeply. I’d take lots of vacations, see the world, eat amazing food, and explore everything alongside my kids.
