Meet Kyle Mauch of Athletes Brand in Scottsdale

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kyle Mauch.

Kyle, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I’m a student of psychology and a former college and pro athlete. Over the years, I developed an ability and skill set to help people discover their greater legacy. A legacy that will bring significant value to their personal brand, while helping them make a difference in the world that is bigger than their profession.

It’s become my life mission to inspire others to live a life of purpose, find and implement extended value, and make a difference in the world while doing so. I’m the Founder of Athletes Brand, Refined Craft, Campfire, The 1000, and the Success at Success Podcast.

In short, my story begins after just one month of professional baseball, when I decided to step away from the game to give my full attention to helping fellow athletes use their platforms for a greater purpose. Shortly thereafter, I found myself sitting shotgun with Danica Patrick at over 100mph while pitching my new business, Athletes Brand, during GoDaddy’s Super Bowl commercial.

I grew up in Klamath Falls, Oregon as the youngest of three boys, with two incredible parents. My approach to branding and legacy is a family first mindset. I craft a brand that creates significant value to sponsors, relays who my clients really are, and is built off of their own life experiences that allow them to truly connect with people and make a lasting difference in the world. I call this their relevant value.

My goal is to always create a brand that leaves their family name as a legacy bigger than their profession, while giving their life additional purpose they may not have recognized before. All of this is done hand in hand with their loved ones. Along with branding and legacy consulting, I was chosen as 2018’s Top Apparel Designer in Arizona by Arizona Foothills Magazine.

I work with pro athletes and other celebrities in designing shirts and other apparel items to raise money for charities of their choice. We’ve found ourselves as the go-to option in pro sports for anything related to raising money through shirts for charity. I specialize in professional athletes and high performers in entertainment and business.

However, my clients range from A-List celebrities to the girl next door, because everybody has a greater legacy that will improve the world and their happiness in some way. Over the past five years, I’ve had over 1200 professional athletes as clients, some of which are the most recognizable names in sports.

Athletes Brand plans to continue to expand in helping athletes as a 100% current, and former pro athlete ran the company in anything that has to do with their lives away from the sport they play.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Athletes Brand was 100% bootstrapped from an initial small investment of my own, then built off of my own sales for the first five years. I’ve slept on friends couches, scraped by with less than $1,000/mo, and lived in three different cities to promote the clothing side of Athletes Brand during the first few years before the hard work finally paid off and turned us into a multi-million dollar brand.

Struggles don’t go away as a company grows, they just become bigger struggles with more impact. It went from struggling to sell enough to make a living, to struggling to keep up with demand, hire good employees, and not to lose momentum.

In 2018, we’ve taken some major transformations on. From being solely shirts for charity to becoming the top personal branding agency in the world for athletes, we’ve found our strengths and altered the company to fit those strengths in a way that benefits our end mission in a much clearer way. We aim to impact 10,000 pro athletes to help them discover their greater legacy.

Through the launch of our tv shows, documentaries, consulting agency, events and masterminds company, and clothing we’ve positioned ourselves to be able to truly change the world and see the impact that we can make alongside our clients. With the right mindset, the right intentions, and the right people around you, any big goal can be reached, and that’s where 2018 has positioned us.

So, what’s next? Any big plans?
Currently, we’re in the process of funding and building the Legacy Factory in Oregon and one in Arizona in 2020 per the requirements of the athletes on our team and our decade of research. The facility has been five years in the works and will be the most innovative athlete performance center in the world. Along with that, we have our elite masterminds bringing together the most innovative minds in the world opening to the public in 2018.

Our goal with this is to connect great minds and create collaboration that will change the world and change their lives. The future for Athletes Brand and our companies is exciting as our focus on not building anything that isn’ the best available has continued to pay off by creating true relationships and trust with our customers and clients as they always expect their experience and products with us to be the best.

What I’m most excited for is our new show “Hey! Let’s Get Breakfast Burritos.” will launch in 2019 kicking off our tv network with the athletes that we work with guests like Josh Rosen, Adam Richman, Larry Nance Jr, and many more. Also in 2019, I will personally begin doing legacy and branding consulting for any qualified people interested rather than only pro athletes.

This excites me because it’s just another way to be able to help people live the life they deserve to live and help them make the difference in the world they have the ability to make.
