Conversations with Luvia Coronado

Today we’d like to introduce you to Luvia Coronado

Hi Luvia , thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
“I started in 2020, during the pandemic, as a small hobby. I felt that in Nogales, Arizona, there was no modern florist, and the opportunity arose for me to start this small business. At the time, I was studying my last semester of nursing, and since I was studying from home due to COVID, it gave me the opportunity to begin this venture. Seeing the acceptance of people in our community, I took the leap to open my physical store after one year of having started from home. Once I opened my store, I had the idea of creating a space for small businesses to offer their products. Thereafter my original idea of opening a flower shop later became a concept store, where we sell flower arrangements, jewelry, candles, candies, baby clothes, personalized tumblers and more!

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has been a very pleasant journey; the acceptance and affection from the people toward my business have made it easier. The biggest challenge has been reaching out to more people so they can get to know my business and encouraging the community to support local businesses like mine and the individuals who sell their products here.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
We specialize in selling floral arrangements and

I am proud that we don’t just sell flowers— we create meaningful moments and connections. We help create love stories, support those going through difficult times and accompany people in special moments such as the birth of a baby, weddings, birthdays, and more. We also help those who are far away stay connected through a beautiful gesture.

I always strive to make each of my customers feel special and ensure that every arrangement is made especially for them.

Risk taking is a topic that people have widely differing views on – we’d love to hear your thoughts.
My biggest risk was at the beginning—opening a store during COVID, a time of great uncertainty in the world. Seeing so many businesses close their doors and not knowing if mine would stay open was daunting. However, I feel it has been one of the best risks I have ever taken. My business has brought me many beautiful moments and has allowed me to connect with amazing people throughout the journey.
