Meet Jasmine Peña of Leah Arie Events and Photography in Gilbert

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jasmine Peña.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Jasmine. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
My name is Jasmine, the face behind Leah Arie Events and Photography. I am an Arizona and California based event planner and photographer. I’m a wife, mother and lover of matcha green tea lattes, a good creme brûlée and adventures with my little family. My passion for events began in high school when I organized my school’s first fashion show, and I have been coordinating events ever since. Though weddings are my jam, catch me planning all year long for birthdays, baby showers – any and all celebrations.

My daughters are the inspiration to my chosen business name. My girls have truly rocked my world. They are the ones who inspire me the most and have ignited my passion for photography. I am such a mama bear for saying this, but I literally want to capture all of my daughter’s moments in stills. Time moves swiftly; therefore, capturing even the smallest, most unique moments in a photograph, has been my tall-tale journey through motherhood (these littles aren’t going to stay little forever and I just want to remember every moment possible!). And so, my journey in photography began, and it genuinely makes me happy to extend my happiness in capturing as many photos of the growth of my daughters to other families and their loved ones!

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Nothing is ever easy, but because I have such a great support system, my journey thus far has been nothing but smooth. I only do events and photography part-time, so if I struggle it is because I am balancing raising a family, working full-time, running a part-time passion and keeping my sanity. At the end of the day, I am where I am because this is where I am meant to be in my life, at this time.

Please tell us about your business.
Leah Arie Events and Photography is a full-service event planning and photography business. If I am not planning the event, most likely I am the one taking the photos! I strive to create memories that will last a lifetime. Every unique celebration is designed to reflect my clients’ dream vision and to provide them peace of mind in the coordinating process. My photography style is warm, romantic and simple with a comfortable blend of capturing candid moments and naturally posed images. I love to celebrate the significant moments of my clients’ lives, as well as, capture real and organic images between my subjects. Events and photography bring out the best in me, and my hope is to bring the light and love to every celebration and photograph I have the opportunity to take part in.

So, what’s next? Any big plans?
I am always looking to grow my business and my craft, and I believe that starts with being a part of a community of like-minded creatives. My goal is to find those people and learn from them. Another business goal in the next year is to break into elopement and intimate wedding photography and I am so looking forward to it!
