Hi Loren and Lauren, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
We are Lauren and Loren, the ladies behind Babes in a Box. Babes in a Box was started for our love of celebrations and making memories with our families. From seasonal holidays to birthdays and baby announcements, we are passionate about celebrating and capturing the special moments in our kids’ lives.
We have combined our talents to make Babes in a Box a fresh, unique approach to family photography. Lauren’s event planning experience allows her to set up and style box themes for virtually any occasion. Loren has dabbled in photography and has spent years taking candid photographs of her two kids and began box photos during 2020 quarantine.
Babes in a Box is designed to create a fun, easy photography experience for your children while capturing their unique personalities and growth milestones. Our 20-minute general and themed sessions will result in artfully curated moments, box by box.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
We are moms of young kids and both have full-time jobs. We are excited to start this creative outlet where we will learn about being small business owners and entrepreneurs. The Arizona economy is rapidly growing and we think this is a perfect place to bring a unique business idea for the community to support.

Networking and finding a mentor can have such a positive impact on one’s life and career. Any advice?
In just one month of launching our business, we have successfully networked and reached out to local business leaders and community members who may have an interest in our work. We are proud to share that we have a strong social media following thanks to establishing connections early and continuously promoting our business and mission.
As co-owners, we each bring our unique skills and perspectives to the business and keep each other afloat as we navigate challenges and learn new things as entrepreneurs.
