Meet Heather Nash

Today we’d like to introduce you to Heather Nash.

Hi Heather, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I have always been a softie for things that come from my family…the story they tell…the memories they invoke. Growing up, I always wanted to be different and wear different things than everyone else. Thus I started collecting vintage clothing. In the early 2000’s, I started selling online and in 2017 NVC rented its first space and started doing pop-up markets. Fast forward to 2021 and we have opened our first Brick and Mortar!

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Everything has a natural progression and we move accordingly. 2020 caused some struggles and bumps but we overcame them with flying colors. I think everyone had a tough 2020 either personally or in business. I think my biggest obstacle is myself. Learning to be uncomfortable so I can grow and I am learning to accept things as they are. Starting is the best thing we can do.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
Selling curated vintage clothing in Arizona and beyond. We mix it up with vintage + modern + home décor + handmade + rocks and crystals. At NVC, we curate an amazing vintage collection for the modern fashion lover. Think street style outside of Paris Fashion Week. I love to mix a vintage dress with a really modern shoe. We are known for our outstanding vintage and the local artists that make up the collective. I am most proud of our retail location in downtown Mesa and the reaction when someone new enters the store and just gets it. They feel at home.

What was your favorite childhood memory?
So many childhood memories….. but the best are grandparents, summers, swimming, roller skating and friends, eating fresh fruit and veggies from the garden, a cold root beer float.
