Today we’d like to introduce you to Gina Ciadella.
Gina, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
My dad started this business back in the seventies. My dad was a paint and body man for classic Chevrolets and had a 1956 Nomad. The Nomad needed seat cloth. He researched the factories that made the cloth and went to the different factories and purchased the material and started selling it in Hemmings Motor News. That is how this business started.
With a lot of hard work and time, Peter Ciadella and his talented employees made patterns and reproduced the materials and started manufacturing interiors for 1949 through 1965 Chevrolets. We love what we do, it’s our passion and never feels like work!
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
No, the road to success is never smooth or easy. WIth any business, there is many hours of hard work and dedication involved. There is trail and error. We have learned over the years what works and what does not. We are always learning and growing and adding new products.
Five years ago Peter Ciadella passed away, that is the most difficult challenge we have faced. We keep working hard and doing what he taught us and we feel him guiding us daily.
Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Ciadella Interiors – what should we know?
Ciadella Interiors manufactures 1949 through 1965 Chevrolet interiors. We send interiors all over the world to people restoring classic cars. We work with car builders, car collectors, people building their dream car, lowriders, and people who just love the hobby. We specialize in reproducing the interiors as original, as they came from the factory. We also do custom work often working with leather and different cloths and carpets.
What we are most proud of as a company is our quality and attention to detail. The quality of our materials, and stitching and fit of our interiors is 2nd to none. We are family owned and operated and everyone that works here are part of this family.
What sets us apart from others is that we care about the people we are working for. We get to know them and become friends with them and stay in contact with them, they become part of our family.
Any shoutouts? Who else deserves credit in this story – who has played a meaningful role?
Peter Ciadella had a vision, a dream and he made it come to life. The car business is a very tight-knit community and we have friends all over the world that have helped us.
The most credit goes to all of the employees here, without their hard work and dedication day after day year after year, we would not be where we are at today.
We have several people that have worked here well over 20 years. The success of any business is the passion for what you are doing. All of us that work here love what we do. When you love what you do, it’s no longer work. We have been truly blessed.
