Today we’d like to introduce you to Chiief and Shaysova.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
We met through a mutual friend a couple years ago, but we didn’t start to become actual friends until we both were selected to compete in the 2019 Phoenix Lights DJ Competition. From then on, we have always kept close contact whether it was playing the same show(s) and or hanging out mixing together. That’s how The LIFE Stream Project all came together, at first it was just going to be us two DJing, then one day during one of our meetings – we both agreed our first project should be to raise money to help end child sex-trafficking. After some research and discussion, it didn’t take long until we decided that Operation Underground Railroad was the perfect beneficiary for our donations. They have been doing amazing work rescuing children and with Arizona being one of the hot spots in the country for trafficking, we knew this was something that needed to be done. From then on, we reached out to Gestalt Theory and almost instantly they were all in, and excited to help bring the idea to life. Once Chiief got the green light from them, we have been non-stop putting our resources and brains together to create something special and rewarding that will bring awareness to something that needs to be discussed and in return could help save lives.
Has it been a smooth road?
It has been a fairly smooth ride for us, but one of our only struggles is that some artists and companies were initially afraid to support the cause that The LIFE Stream stood for. That’s okay, because we know we’re doing what’s right and what’s needed. With it being just us two planning and creating or communicating with artists we had to have an important conversation, and that was focused on our own communication, teamwork and commitment to excellence for one another. That meant for instance that important conversations needed to be in person or a phone call vs a text messaging. We also use a game-changing app called Monday. com which has been helping us tremendously with our communication, organization and task management. It’s like having a personal assistant for us both.
We’d love to hear more about your business.
Technically we are not known for anything yet but we are diligently building a company with high morals, strict standards and a passion for helping others. Although we are just starting out, and this is our first production we plan to be a long living non-profit organization that helps raise awareness to sensitive social issues and humanitarian efforts through music and arts. Politics have and will never be a motivation for any of the work that we do. We are most proud of the fact that we can bring the music community and beyond together to help make positive changes we ALL /want to see in the world. It’s just like the Margaret mead quote, “Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it’s the only thing that ever has.” What sets us apart is simple, we’re doing something that’s been needing to be done.
Our individual qualities helped us get to where we are at today. As mentioned, before we strictly leave politics out of our work, we instead have arrived here by being hard working, team driven, coach-able, and creative. With that we were able to start something that we believe could help change the way us artists use our voice(s) and or talents for efforts bigger than ourselves.
Not only that but this is a FREE event, streaming on a multitude of streaming services, and not only that but we are pleased to announce that we will have limited seating at one of the biggest auditoriums Harkins Tempe Marketplace for the FULL 12 hours. Please follow the links below for details on to score Harkins tickets and more updated information on The LIFE Stream Project!
Is our city a good place to do what you do?
Phoenix is the PERFECT place to start what we’re starting – we’re # 7 in unsolved missing children’s cases. This work needs as much attention and help as humanly possible.
