Today we’d like to introduce you to Dana Prophet.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Dana. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I started my journey with a combined love of writing and pastries to take followers travels around the country and the world. I find culinary delights away from tourists traps.
Has it been a smooth road?
I’m often a person who is over-looked or ignored. I don’t mind because that allows me to do what I want without judgment. Keep following your dream, but always have a backup plan ready to go.
So let’s switch gears a bit and go into The Pastry Prophet story. Tell us more about the business.
I focus on pastries and desserts that your parents and grandparents loved. Too many desserts focus on a fancy appearance and not on local ingredients or natural flavor. I want to make old-school cool again.
Looking back on your childhood, what experiences do you feel played an important role in shaping the person you grew up to be?
My loving family embraced my weird quirks and encouraged everything I attempted. Not once did I hear “you can’t do it.”

What a lovely write up! My mouth is watering looking at these pictures. For my family Christmas dinner, I purchased three pies from The Pastry Prophet and they were all devoured and thoroughly enjoyed (apple crumb, real cherries, and sweet potato). I’m looking forward to the next excuse to buy something amazing from this talented chef!
