Community Highlights: Meet Sara Mayer

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sara Mayer.

Hi Sara, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
For as long as I can remember, I have had a talent for tackling complex problems. In fact, say it can’t be done, and I will find a way. In my corporate career, I faced numerous challenges that I had to develop pragmatic approaches to solve and often, they involved many players. I have been known to streamline systems and improve efficiencies, resulting in fewer hours worked for employees. Now in my consulting business, I help business leaders boldly achieve without working double-time.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
When making systematic change, the journey is never smooth; if it is the change is likely not drastic enough! Along the way, there have been many people who have said the changes were not possible or that it could not be done. I find the biggest critics end up being the biggest supporters in the end.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am the owner and creator of Sara Mayer Consulting and considered your go-to expert on organizing your hectic days, weeks, and months into manageable and functional chunks of work. I have personally mastered maximizing every minute of every day and we help clients boldly achieve without working double-time. We offer an online course for individuals looking to maximize their work and become more efficient, as well as 1:1 consulting for business leaders looking to make culture changes in their business.

What makes you happy?
I am most happy when I am giving back. I am an avid philanthropist and I have led multiple non-profits through the creation and development of their initial 501c3 process. Recently, I was named Woman of the Year for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, a 10 week fundraising competition. I do this in honor of my brother Michael and my friend Brandi who lost their lives to blood cancer.
