Good morning Zoilabella , we’re so happy to have you here with us and we’d love to explore your story and how you think about life and legacy and so much more. So let’s start with a question we often ask: What’s more important to you—intelligence, energy, or integrity?
Integrity is most important to me.
Integrity means living in alignment with my values, even when no one is watching. It’s about being authentic and consistent in what I say and do.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hi!

My name is Zoilabella Calo, and I am the proud co-owner of EVOLVE UNITED, a lifestyle-focused fitness group that’s rooted in community, discipline, and transformation. For me, fitness is not just a routine—it’s a way of life. It’s how I honor my body.

At Evolve United, we’re not just a running group. We’re a diverse, inclusive community of everyday athletes from all walks of life and disciplines—runners, powerlifters, yogis, walkers, and more. We believe in evolution through unity. We come together to grow stronger—not only physically, but mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.

Appreciate your sharing that. Let’s talk about your life, growing up and some of topics and learnings around that. What relationship most shaped how you see yourself?
My relationship with my community is one of the most profound and humbling parts of my journey. They’ve never just been bystanders — they’ve been my amplifier. Through every step, they’ve reflected back to me a version of myself I sometimes struggled to see: strong, compassionate, powerful, and deeply rooted in purpose.

This community has helped me discover who I truly am. Their support, their belief in me, and their presence have reminded me that my voice matters. That what I bring to the world — through movement, wellness, and intentional connection — carries weight. They’ve shown me that leading isn’t just about being out in front; it’s about holding space for others to rise too.

Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
Being in the running community as an influencer has been a gift — but it hasn’t always been easy. For a long time, I felt like I was playing a role that didn’t fully reflect who I truly am. I was part of something big, but I wasn’t calling the shots. I wasn’t able to show up fully as me — bold, passionate, deeply rooted in community, and driven by a vision that went beyond just running.

There were moments I felt in the shadows, silenced by expectations, boxed in by someone else’s narrative. And while I was grateful for the platform, I knew in my heart it wasn’t the whole story. I didn’t want to just be part of a community — I wanted to help shape one. One that reflected my values. One where people from all backgrounds, disciplines, and experiences could come together and feel like they truly belonged.

That’s why I stepped forward to create my own vision — one where I could lead with authenticity, where the people around me could see my heart, not just my pace. A space where wellness isn’t defined by one image or path, but by the richness of our differences. A space where no one is ever in the shadows.

This is more than running. This is liberation. This is EVOLVE UNITED.

I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
My closest friends would say that community really matters to me. It is important for me to create a space where all feel welcomed and seen.

Before we go, we’d love to hear your thoughts on some longer-run, legacy type questions. What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
I hope that people will tell the story of a woman who cared for her community and led with truth, honesty, integrity, strength, courage, compassion, empathy and love.
