Today we’d like to introduce you to Michelle Corbet

Michelle, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
Always been a pretty fly by the seat of your pants kinda gal. After a terrible divorce, I was asked to start writing my story. I have been writing a book for almost 5 years now. I’m stronger for it.

Mother of four amazing young adults. And married to my very best friend. After surviving some serious health issues. I became a vegetarian and decided to start living life not just going through the motions of life. I dress the way I do. Bohemian or beachy. It’s probably not age appropriate, yet I am just going to live the best me I can. Clothes make me absolutely happy. I love to travel, for the joy of culture and meeting new people. Learning their stories. Animal conversation is a huge passion. The ocean is another of my obsessions as well. I’m a plethora of moods, cultures and ways of lives. I feel like I have lived three different lives in my lifetime so far. Can’t wait for every new day.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The best advice I ever received once was you. Live you. Let it be. Don’t sweat the small stuff and live! Don’t strive for normal. Be happy in your own skin (which at times needs to be thick). Stay weird! Also, remember …

Without failure… there would be no such thing as success. Period.

Wake up, make a list if needed. Accomplish your daily goals. Before you know it, it’s habit.

No matter where I go. I’m a mom. I’m everyone’s mom or friend. I’m an advice person I’ve come to realize.
I provide the shoulder, or words and a path of a way to succeed. Or survive.

Smile, it’s all gonna be okay.

What advice would you give to someone at the start of her career?
Make a daily goal and end the day with a check mark. Then start setting the goal a little higher. Don’t set yourself up with the idea of failure because you are going to fail. Without it, like I’ve said. There would be no success.
