We’re looking forward to introducing you to Yvette Adams. Check out our conversation below.
Hi Yvette, thank you for taking the time to reflect back on your journey with us. I think our readers are in for a real treat. There is so much we can all learn from each other and so thank you again for opening up with us. Let’s get into it: What is a normal day like for you right now?
Jump right into helping.
Whether it’s answering a question, brainstorming ideas, reviewing a document or just chatting.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hello! my name is Yvett an I am from Phoenix Arizona. I have over 11 years experience in the modeling world. I’m 31 years old I got started in the modeling industry, throughout an agency called John Casablancas I was inspired by Magazines, TV Ad’s the fashion and much more. I have took courses at the agency for about ten week for development and skills and received my certification. Later, on in my journey I took photo shoots with professional photographers, going to different environments and creating themes to help build me portfolio.
I attended fashion shows for L’anza, Love Sick lingerie and the All White Caribbean. I have submitted for publication magazine and have got published on BEAUTICA, FIENFN, HOT POSTER, LORIUS, GEZNO, STYLÉ CRUZE, 6fx FASHION & BEAUTY, EDITH, PARADISE ,GMARO and INFRAM. I experienced on how I worked hard and push through good times and tuff times and came successful in my dream, that I am going to accomplish.
Most importantly, I truly love what I do and keep surprising the world on many inspirations. Looking back, I believe that three of the most impactful qualities, skills, or areas of critical thinking, organization and discipline.
Critical thinking has helped me to ensure that I was making progress on important comparing and contrasting. Organization has also played a role in ensuring that I could keep track of all the different work. To be successful at this, I needed to be able to organize my tools and resources so they could easily be accessed when I needed them. Lastly, discipline is key because it allowed me to stay on track with my goals in order to succeed.
Okay, so here’s a deep one: What breaks the bonds between people—and what restores them?
Honest and open communication can break and be restored. It’s usually takes time, humility, and consistent effort.
When did you stop hiding your pain and start using it as power?
The time I stop hiding my pain is when emotions hit the past of me where there were some people who had doubted me and say I was not good enough nor ever will become a successful professional model. Over time I develop a mindset where I had to heal and recover and go after what is best and show anyone I can do anything in the lifetime.
I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. Is the public version of you the real you?
Yes! The public version of myself is the real me setting apart of my career path I’m just as much as your nice neighbor and going along with life yes we all have our duty’s but we sure can still balance who we are.
Okay, so let’s keep going with one more question that means a lot to us: What do you understand deeply that most people don’t?
What do I understand deeply that most people don’t is manifesting. It’s the idea in your mind where you write down what you want to become and do the work! It’s already there things take time but when it shows you be proud to smile because the method dose work.
