Savanna Victoria Kapetanovic shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.
Hi Savanna Victoria , thank you so much for joining us today. We’re thrilled to learn more about your journey, values and what you are currently working on. Let’s start with an ice breaker: Have any recent moments made you laugh or feel proud?
Last month I modeled my 3rd year as alumni for Phoenix Fashion Week Fashionably Pink segment. It hit different this year being up there with the breast cancer survivors since my mom was recently diagnosed in May. Listening to all their stories & knowing what mom has gone through made me emotional but proud to be up there representing her as I walked the runway.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hello, I have been modeling locally in Arizona for 5 years. I am also a junior at Arizona State University studying to be a Physical Therapist. I have been working in the field for over a year & really enjoy helping others recover as a PT tech. I am very busy but still find time to do modeling a huge passion of mine.
Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. What’s a moment that really shaped how you see the world?
I was signed with EFMM this year a model management company. A few weeks later was chosen by designer House of Wu to go work the Atlanta Formal Market. I went by myself & was a little nervous but I knew I could do it as I have traveled allot with my family & felt confident. I worked the market Monday-Friday and had the time of my life. I met so many other amazing models from all over US and got to model hundred’s of gowns including wedding, formal, quinceanera & mother of the bride. I was proud of myself for going on my own & can not wait to work another next year.
Do you remember a time someone truly listened to you?
Now that I have been modeling for a while in Arizona & 20 years old I get approached by younger models who recognize me from Instagram. It is so fun to talk with them & answer questions about my experience. I have even done a little coaching for the little’s through The Young Agency and that feels like a full circle moment.
Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. Is the public version of you the real you?
Yes absolutely, I am a pretty laid back & easy going girl. I don’t pretend to be someone I’m not. I am very approachable, kind & silly at times.
Thank you so much for all of your openness so far. Maybe we can close with a future oriented question. When do you feel most at peace?
I am a beach girl. Definitely my favorite place is near an ocean or lake. The sound of the water crashing is pure relaxation.
