Story & Lesson Highlights with Jannae chester of Phoenix

We’re looking forward to introducing you to Jannae chester. Check out our conversation below.

Jannae, so good to connect and we’re excited to share your story and insights with our audience. There’s a ton to learn from your story, but let’s start with a warm up before we get into the heart of the interview. What’s more important to you—intelligence, energy, or integrity?
To me, integrity is the most important quality a person can have. For me it’s about being honest, staying true to my values, and showing up as the same person whether someone’s watching or not.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Yáʼátʼééh I’m Jannae Chester!
Arizona based photographer with a deep love for capturing real, honest moments—especially within my own family. My photography for me is about making memories that make us feel alive and connected. I want my clients to be able to look back on the photo and feel genuine happiness.

Right now, I’m working on a personal project that documents everyday life with my film camera.

Okay, so here’s a deep one: Who taught you the most about work?
The person who taught me the most about work is my grandpa. He always strives to do the best and showed me what it is to truly work hard.

What fear has held you back the most in your life?
The fear that has held me back the most in life is shyness. I’ve often struggled with putting myself out there.

So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
My closest friends would say that spending time with my family is all that matters.

Okay, so let’s keep going with one more question that means a lot to us: What will you regret not doing?
Never turning down a job because I feel like I’m not good enough.
