We’re looking forward to introducing you to April Gayan. Check out our conversation below.
April , it’s always a pleasure to learn from you and your journey. Let’s start with a bit of a warmup: What’s more important to you—intelligence, energy, or integrity?
I believe a balance of all three is necessary in business. Integrity is key, your word is your bond and what sets you apart from many others. Intelligence is important for finding creative solutions to unique situations and energy is essential to keep grinding. You have to be willing and able to put in the work for your customers.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m April and I own ShedsAZ, we offer a wide variety of building options for our customers specifications. Sizes, styles, materials we are able to customize your dream buildings. We are working on some new offerings for fall of 2025 so stay tuned to our website for exclusive information!
Appreciate your sharing that. Let’s talk about your life, growing up and some of topics and learnings around that. Who taught you the most about work?
My parents taught me at an early age, if I want something I need to find a way to earn it. I have taken that to heart everyday of my life. I work hard which allows me to play harder.
When you were sad or scared as a child, what helped?
I prayed. I still pray when faced with a challenge or decision.
Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. What’s a belief or project you’re committed to, no matter how long it takes?
I am firmly working with a local food bank and clothing closet to help the underserved in our area. I believe in the mission and do my part to help grow the vision.
Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. What will you regret not doing?
Traveling more. It is a great big beautiful world and I want to see more of it!
