Starr Alexandria shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.
Starr, so good to connect and we’re excited to share your story and insights with our audience. There’s a ton to learn from your story, but let’s start with a warm up before we get into the heart of the interview. What is something outside of work that is bringing you joy lately?
In 2025, pole fitness has been bringing me so much joy. It’s empowering and such a fun way to challenge myself in a new way. I love that it combines strength, confidence, and creativity—it’s not just a workout, it’s an art form. Every class pushes me out of my comfort zone while reminding me how strong and capable I am, and that’s been really rewarding outside of my career.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m Starr Alexandria — fitness coach, model, Pro Bikini competitor, and podcast host. I help career-driven women over 30 who feel stuck with a slowed-down metabolism, hormonal changes like perimenopause, and the struggle of trying to lose weight while juggling a busy life. My brand, Bare Physiques, is all about ditching the crash diets and extremes so you can actually enjoy food, train smarter, and finally feel confident in your own skin. What makes me different? I’ve lived the lifestyle — I coach women every day, and I share the real, unfiltered side of navigating my 30’s on my pod. At the end of the day, I want women to know you can look strong, feel unstoppable, and still live a life you love.
Okay, so here’s a deep one: Who were you before the world told you who you had to be?
Honestly, I was the shy girl who played small. I cared way too much about what people thought and held myself back because I didn’t want to be ‘too much.’ It wasn’t until I fully embraced my own little bit of delulu energy — letting myself dream bigger, go after the things that scared me, and stop apologizing for wanting more — that I stepped into my own power. The moment I stopped trying to fit into the box the world handed me and started creating my own, everything changed. Now I get to live out the dreams younger me was too quiet to even say out loud.
If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
I’d say “if you’re passionate about it, don’t give up” because the hardest things usually have the best outcomes.
Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. What are the biggest lies your industry tells itself?
That you have to hate your body, hate your food, and basically hate your life to get results. That extreme diets, endless cardio, and ‘no fun allowed’ is the only way. I call BS. The truth? You can have a strong, lean body and still enjoy wine nights, dessert, and living your life. Fitness isn’t about punishment — it’s about strategy, confidence, and knowing your worth. Everything else is just noise the industry wants you to believe.
Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. If you laid down your name, role, and possessions—what would remain?
Definitely my relationships! I cherish any and all moments spent with hus as well as my family, and closest friends. These people are the reason I feel joy on a daily basis, and I’m so blessed to have a circle of people I can trust.
