Rising Stars: Meet Zemorah Yisrael of Grand Canyon

Today we’d like to introduce you to Zemorah Yisrael

Zemorah, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
When I started my art journey I had no idea that simple doodles and drawings would lead me to designing logos, illustrating a children’s book, or owning a business that would be healing and impactful for many. Art has always been something that came naturally to me and over time, I became very passionate about expressing myself in various ways. I see art as an expression of my soul. As I continue to create, my life becomes more fun and joyous. I am proud to inspire others daily through art pieces, fashion, and encouraging conversations.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
One thing I’ve learned as an artist and business owner is that your self-esteem is so important. Our self-esteem can be affected in many ways. A big challenge that I have faced when it comes to expanding my business is being in the public eye. Sometimes I would feel shy and scared to be seen. I realized that one thing that had a big impact on how I viewed myself and others around me were the people that I surrounded myself with. If you are constantly surrounded by bullies, negative people or people who complain about life all the time, you’ll never truly be able to fulfill your goals. If you want to reach for the sky you have to soar above the clouds like an eagle. You can always look around at others, point your finger and say, “You’re the reason why my life is so miserable”, or you can take your power back and see that the door to an amazing life has always been open, you just have to walk through it. Walking through that door may mean leaving some people behind, but those who are meant to support you will always be there.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
Nature has always been my biggest inspiration as an artist. So it is no surprise that I currently create pieces inspired by my travel destinations. My most recent pieces have been inspired by Hawai’i and the Grand Canyon. Both places have very strong indigenous/native roots, which has shown me the importance of creation itself and how impactful art can be within a civilization. Knowing this, I also deliver messages with my art like many cultures have done so long ago and continue to do today. I am thrilled about exploring other destinations and designing more intricate pieces in the future.

Can you talk to us a bit about the role of luck?
Luck has never been a huge aspect of my reality but as I look back on my life I can definitely see a divine influence on the schools I attended, the opportunities that were presented to me and the people that I met along the way. As I became more aware of this divine influence, somehow, I am always in the right place at the right time even if it may feel as if a mistake is being made. This could be due to the positive attitude I have towards achieving my goals or simply because I continue to have faith that everything will work out for me. Overall, I have noticed moments of luck in my life, though there have been many more divine experiences.
