Rising Stars: Meet Tina Hannaford

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tina Hannaford. 

Hi Tina, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I started my career in real estate over 9 years ago working behind the scenes with my husband Rob and handling his marketing and day-to-day items and thought wow, this is a great business, touring homes, staging, and talking with people on a daily basis, but then soon realized I needed to get my license to allow me to do more than marketing. 

People started asking me how is the real estate market? I knew at that point that was it, I’m going to real estate school and that’s what I did and became licensed in 2016. 

Through my career, I have helped many families purchase their ultimate dream home and also helping home sellers make the transition from selling to moving forward with their life and onto new adventures. 

Selling your home is quite a process. It is a long and detailed process that requires a lot of work. When you are not able to get the results you want, it is beyond frustrating. Not all hope is lost. My specialty is helping home sellers find out why their home did not sell (many times at no fault of their own), get back on the market, market their home aggressively, and sell quickly! 

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Real estate is never easy, it takes hard work and long hours. You must be dedicated and when you first start out in the business of real estate, you do what it takes, cold calls, door knocking, and more cold calling until you build your base of clients, which takes time. It’s not overnight.

I believe that if you’re not left with an amazing experience, I haven’t done my job. I don’t measure success through achievements or awards but through the satisfaction of my clients. 

Is there anyone you’d like to thank or give credit to?
I’ll have to say my husband Rob Hannaford, he’s a real estate coach for Tom Ferry and he is one of the best mentors and supporters of my business. When I hear Rob on his coaching calls, I’m always getting tidbits of grand marketing ideas and it helps with my motivation as well. 

Real estate is a hard business, but when you have a mentor at your side, you feel like you can conquer the world. 

Just like professional athletes, they have coaches to help guide, mentor, and coach and real estate is no different believe it or not.
