Today we’d like to introduce you to Pinkk

Hi Pinkk, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I started off as a volunteer stylist with Arizona Fashion week, where I networked with a lot of business owners and entrepreneurs. I wanted to turn that passion into a business of my own and began prospecting clients.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Personally my experience starting off was not smooth at all. I had a lot of people in my life telling me to take a more conventional career path because it was “safer” or “more secure”. I obviously took my own route.

Working in fashion, specifically as a stylist, in Arizona, is not easy. Considering how low demand and interest is here in Arizona for these services it can be discouraging but it’s definitely not impossible.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am a fashion stylist, I work in editorial, runway, and personal styling. I feel like what sets me apart from others is my passion for it as an art more than a hobby or a job. That’s why i consider myself a fashion stylist versus a personal stylist. Although I do personal styling, it’s not my forte. I like being able to have creative control and direction in how models are dressed, how their hair and makeup are done, and how the model walks or poses.

Who else deserves credit in your story?
The one person, I feel has given me the most insight on how the industry works was a personal friend who’s also a stylist. His name is Hollywood (@hollywoodthegenerous on instagram). Not only did he show me the ropes, but he continues to uplift every single one of my career moves and provides guidance if it’s ever needed.

• $75/hr for personal shopping w/ 3 hour minimum (does not include amount spent on clothes)
• $100/hr for closet clean out
