Rising Stars: Meet Philip Henn

Today we’d like to introduce you to Philip Henn.

Hi Philip, so excited to have you on the platform. So, before we get into questions about your work life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today. 
I was born and raised in New York City, where I lived until my 20’s. I most recently had been living in Downtown Brooklyn for the last 20 years. I worked in the fashion industry after school for a few years, working for Donna Karan and other designers. I then moved into the restaurant industry, working for Jean-Georges Vongerichten and Steve Hanson, along with other top chefs in NYC. I met my beautiful wife, Lauren Stewart, in 2002, and she encouraged me to pursue a career in residential real estate. I worked most of my real estate career for Barabara Corcoran at The Corcoran Group in Brooklyn & Manhattan. I have been a licensed Real Estate Broker for over 20 years and counting. I decided to move full-time to Carefree, Arizona, after the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. I have been selling homes and representing buyers here in Greater Phoenix, Scottsdale, Cave Creek, Carefree, and the surrounding areas of Maricopa County. We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
I was raised by a single mother along with my sister in Manhattan, and times were tough, but we always felt provided for. My mom raised me to always be honest, work hard, and be kind to others. I feel those early lessons have helped me professionally and personally in my life. I always want to go the extra mile, be the friend you can lean on and trust, and, of course, be kind along the way. It costs nothing to be kind, and those are words that I live by. 

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am a Licensed Associate Real Estate Broker with HUNT Real Estate ERA in Scottsdale. I work closely with home sellers to market their homes for top dollar with best-in-class service. I also work with home buyers and investors in the greater Phoenix, Scottsdale, Carefree, Cave Creek, and the surrounding areas of Maricopa County here in AZ. I am known for being a great listener and acting when the time is right for all of my clients. As an Independent Contractor for most of my life I understand the importance of a solid reputation as a REALTOR to always put my client’s interest first. I believe in striking when the moment is right for my buyer and investor clients as well. I also believe you really need to know and understand the current real estate market as it always fluctuating to inform and guide my clients. 

Alright, so to wrap up, is there anything else you’d like to share with us?
Some of my hobbies include international traveling, golf, hiking, boating and swimming. Arizona provides a lifestyle for outdoor living, which very few places in the USA can provide. I love the desert lifestyle and always being outdoors. I also am an avid golfer and find many homes for golfers moving to AZ to get them into the right Country Club!
