Rising Stars: Meet Niyah Evans

Today we’d like to introduce you to Niyah Evans.

Hi Niyah, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
My name is Niy I am the owner of Niysthings. I sell Jade Buddha pendants, poetry, and other things. I’ve dabbled in many things like poetry, clothing, painting, etc. I was constantly complimented and asked about my jewelry – particularly my Buddha necklace and there are almost no places to buy Jade here.

So I decided to buy a few and test out selling them and that is what started Niysthings. I sell my pieces online, inside of BrowsBare studio, and also out at different markets like First Friday and Vegan Vybez.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
The road has been everything that it was supposed to be. Being a small business owner isn’t easy but the risk is definitely worth the reward. I am learning and growing as Niysthings grows.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I sell pretty much anything that I like that I think someone else would like. My main goal is to spread a little light to someone else. I am most proud of the energy I put into Niysthings.

It’s loving and honest. I move with integrity. My favorite thing is seeing people wear my pieces every day and seeing them show up and come out when I am selling at markets.

What matters most to you? Why?
Maintaining my integrity. Making sure that I am putting my best into my business. Transmuting high energy to my customers.
