Rising Stars: Meet Nina Streich of Tempe

Today we’d like to introduce you to Nina Streich.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
Nina is a licensed esthetician with over 4 years of experience serving women and their cosmetic needs. She has been a part of the team of Microblading artists in Scottsdale voted “Best In the Valley” for the last several years. Nina is certified in Microblading, Lip Blush Tattooing, Eyeliner Tattooing, and also has her Bachelor’s in Fine Arts with an emphasis on painting and drawing.
Her professional career began in Los Angeles before moving to Scottsdale, and is now operating in Tempe at her own studio: NK.B.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I feel like being an artist is never a smooth road, but that’s part of what inspires me to stay positive and true to myself through the up’s and down’s.

There’s plenty of self-doubt: “Am I good enough to do this?” Luckily, I have an amazing support group around me with my family, friends, and clients and the longer I’m an artist the more comfortable I am in my own skin.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I recently opened up NK.B, which specializes in Microblading. Microblading is a semi-permanent eyebrow tattoo. Hair like strokes are created within the brows, giving them a fuller appearance. I also provide Brow Flips & Tints as well as Lash Lift & Tints.

I’m most proud of taking a chance on myself! In any profession, I think it’s easy to stay comfortable and stop pushing boundaries. It took me a long time to feel ready to take the leap and go out on my own, but I am so thankful that I did.

What makes you happy?
Making others happy! Whether it’s my family, friends, or clients, I find joy in seeing them smile and knowing I played a part in that happiness.
