Rising Stars: Meet Michelle Galindo of Goodyear

Today we’d like to introduce you to Michelle Galindo .

Hi Michelle, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My name is Michelle Galindo! I’m the owner of Posh Blush and a licensed aesthetician. Before I even got to this point, I was an emergency veterinarian technician for 12 years. During this time, I felt stuck and knew I was always meant for something more. I would get so excited when I saw anything skin-related and always wanted to take those cases! Skincare has always interested me, but I didn’t think I could make it a career. Dealing with acne myself, I would try so many things with no luck. I remember that the only one who knew how obsessed I was with skin was my little sister, The year before she passed, she gifted me a full skincare set for my birthday. In 2020, our whole world turned upside down when we lost her, but it woke me up! It made me realize how fragile life can be, and I changed. I quit my job, got my license, and followed my dreams.

We all face challenges, but would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Not at all! First off, I’m a mom of 2! My youngest was only 6 months old when I decided to do this. I went in during the pandemic and with zero clients! I started at my mom’s house and slowly put my name out there. I would get so many no-call no-shows and almost give up. I had spent all my savings on my dream. Just simply knowing it had to work. Being a business owner is a roller coaster! To this day, it has its ups and downs; people only see the surface without knowing what happens behind the scenes to make it all happen.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might need to become more familiar, what can you tell them about what you do?
I am a licensed aesthetician that specializes in medical-grade treatments. My facials are always customized to a client’s needs. I work hand in hand with a medical director to bring in the latest and best in skincare. I currently offer Skinpen Microneedling, hydra facials, medical depth to superficial depth chemical peels, enzyme therapy, and customized facials. I’m most proud of the results I know I can give you! Seeing my client’s face and the confidence it brings is why I love what I do, especially regarding my pigmentation and acne clients. I have been in their shoes and know the struggle. So when we start seeing the changes, we all dance small, happy dances together. I absolutely love helping people feel and look their best and educating them on the physiology of the skin, the chemistry of ingredients, and healthy beauty.

Networking and finding a mentor can positively impact one’s life and career. Any advice?
I’ll be honest. I went in alone at this. I had to do all the research, find the answers to my questions, and even make many mistakes! One thing I found helpful was some of my local estheticians who have been in the game for a while. I became friends with a few; they were helpful when I needed more advice! At this point, I also love helping those who need guidance because I know how hard it is to get any sense of direction.
