Rising Stars: Meet Marianna Lopez

Today we’d like to introduce you to Marianna Lopez.

Hi Marianna, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I was always empathic and intuitive, but the healing myself stuff started in 2015. As soon as it began, I knew I wanted to be a Catalyst for others. Cue Soundbowl, Yoga, Breathwork, Hypnosis, Theta Healing Certifications…

Yoga and meditation came into my life in my early 20s when I began practicing Swasthya Yoga while in Argentina. Fast forward to my late twenties, while I was living in NYC, I discovered Sri Sri Ravi Shankar’s The Art of Living. After losing my brother and father within a short time, I started to seek alternative healing. After my father’s passing in 2016, I attended Sound Healing School and completed my Breathwork apprenticeship. I explored sound meditations, theta healing, reiki, breathwork, astrology, acupuncture, journaling, hypnosis, – the list goes on. I later earned my certifications as a Yoga Teacher and a Hypnotist.

Wander Not Lost was born while I was on a solo trip to Hawaii when I decided that I would heal myself by helping others heal. I would wander within and explore every inch of my light, my shadow, and myself, in order to support others in their self-discovery and healing. My passion is to be a space for others to discover their light, embrace their shadow and find a balanced, joyful life. We will work together to clear out what no longer serves you, so you can have the life of your dreams.

2018, shamanism kicked in. Cue Kambo, Drumming Journeys, Tantra, Plant Medicine. Top that off with Transformational Coaching & Training and voila, you have me; a Catalyst for Self-Discovery & Healing /Medicine Woman…

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Before setting on the healer path, I worked in the Corporate World and then the Start-Up World. Transitioning out of that industry and into the wellness industry was far from smooth. The first challenge was my own, letting go of my identity as a Content Director/Event Producer, followed by releasing any judgments I had around the healing industry as well as my fear of not being able to make money this way.

The next challenge was to build a following, to consistently show up at the same place and time over and over again, no matter what. More than once I played sound bowls to an empty room or did a breathwork session for a maximum of 3 people. Consistency wasn’t easy for me, building myself up and not losing hope when no one showed up was a challenge. With time though people slowly started to find out, a friend would bring a friend, and from empty rooms, I went to sold-out rooms. It takes time, patience, and dedication to change your career, lots of compassion, and a good sense of humor to navigate through the unknown.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I am a Catalyst for self-discovery and healing. I work one on one, or in a small group setting, to support people on their path to self-realization aka be happy being you and living your best life, according to you.

Working with me can look like a coaching session, a breathwork session, catharsis, yoga, kambo detox, acupressure, journey work, or attending one of my Weekend of Bliss Retreats.

I am most proud of the woman I am becoming, of how I show up in the world, authentic and real. Creating a safe space for others to process their grief, anxiety or any type of ailment is my purpose. Being in service to others saves me life as well.

I would say that one of my superpowers is my ability to access vulnerability, and my commitment to only preach what I practice. My mission is to embody consciousness, integrate Masculine & Feminine energy in such way that leads me to Oneness and Freedom.

We’d love to hear about any fond memories you have from when you were growing up?
We lived on a 40-foot sailboat for a year with my family. We crossed the Atlantic Ocean and sailed the Mediterranean, stopping in different ports and caves all over Europe. I was homeschooled and my brother and I got into all types of trouble as we explored and played both on and off the boat.

To this day I am grateful to my parents for giving me such an unforgettable experience at such a young age! I can only hope to pass it on to my children one day.
