Rising Stars: Meet Liz Frakes, Becky Worrall Patty Taylor, Lori Roediger of North Central Phoenix

Today we’d like to introduce you to Liz Frakes, Becky Worrall, Patty Taylor, Lori Roediger.

Hi Liz, Becky, Patty, Lori, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
Our Story –

Our connection originated through our love for our children, families and support for our beautiful community. Our connection strengthened as we realized the impermanence of life. Our connection solidified while designing bracelets and thus came to the launch of Inspired Bracelets. Each bracelet has a signature ring that is a reminder that we are all connected and when done so through love and support, life can be more meaningful. We are so grateful that we can give back to the community in need. We hope each bracelet inspires someone to find connection and to live well!

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It’s been an incredible journey! When the four of us started this business seven years ago, our kids were grown and we were ready to do something meaningful together – to give back to the community while creating something beautiful. And honestly? We have so much fun together.
There have been learning curves along the way. Technology isn’t always our forte, so we’ve brought in our nieces and daughters to help when we need it – and that’s been wonderful in its own way, bringing different generations into what we’re building. We’ve learned to ask for help where we need it and focus on what we do best: creating beautiful pieces and connecting with our customers.

We’ve also evolved how we run the business. In the beginning, we’d buy any beads we thought were pretty – and we still love that creative freedom! But we’ve streamlined our approach over time, now buying specifically for each collection we’re selling. It’s made everything more manageable and intentional.

Life doesn’t stop for business, of course. Between us, we’ve navigated weddings, aging parents, family events, and all the beautiful chaos that comes with this stage of life. But that’s part of what makes this work – we understand each other’s priorities. We support each other through it all.

Seven years in, we’re still excited about what we create, still learning, and still enjoying every moment of working together. That’s success to us.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
What makes our work special is the love and intention we put into every piece. We’re constantly inspired – whether we’re traveling together, exploring new places, or making our annual trips to the gem show in Tucson. Those trips aren’t just about sourcing materials; they’re about creativity, and the excitement of finding something that sparks a new design idea.

But honestly, what I’m most proud of isn’t just the bracelets themselves – it’s the women I work with. After seven years, watching business partners continue to pour their creativity and passion into every collection we make is incredibly inspiring. We push each other, support each other, and bring out the best in one another.

There’s something really beautiful about what we’ve built together. We share a deep love for life, for family, and for the community we’re serving. That shows up in our work – in the care we take with each design, in how we connect with our customers.

When you buy one of our bracelets, you’re not just getting a beautiful piece of jewelry. You’re getting something created by four women who genuinely love what they do, who support each other through all of life’s seasons, and who believe in making something meaningful together. That energy is woven into every single piece we make.

What sort of changes are you expecting over the next 5-10 years?
We’re anticipating several shifts in our industry over the next 5-10 years. Technology is going to fundamentally change how customers discover and purchase jewelry – we’re already seeing AI-powered virtual try-ons and augmented reality becoming more sophisticated, which means customers will expect to visualize how pieces look on them before buying. Social commerce is exploding too, where purchases happen directly through Instagram and TikTok rather than traditional websites.
The pricing is going to be increasingly challenging. With raw material costs – particularly pearls and gemstones – continuing to rise alongside inflation, we’ll need to be strategic with our buying. We’re already seeing this at the Tucson Gem show each year, where prices climb steadily.

We’re watching more brick-and-mortar stores close every year, which actually creates both challenges and opportunities for us. The challenge is losing those traditional wholesale partnerships, but the opportunity is that it’s pushing brands like ours to build stronger direct-to-consumer relationships. Customers are craving authentic, mission-driven brands with real stories behind them – not just products on a shelf. We’re positioning ourselves to thrive in this more personal, digital-first landscape while maintaining the craft and community values we started with seven years ago.
