Today we’d like to introduce you to Kammi, Kya, & Olin.

Hi Kammi, Kya, & Olin; we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
The idea for Arizona Thrift Co. started over three years ago. We realized and understood the need for people to be able to shop based on affordability. During Covid and the aftermath of the pandemic, we saw an increase of people in need. It was a no-brainer that our idea to have a nonprofit thrift store and charity to help the growing number of needy people came to fruition. We formed the H.O.P.E campaign charity, Helping Our People Everyday. By partnering with other organizations, nonprofits, and businesses, we are building a community to help our community. After several months of obtaining the necessary permits, we could open on June 1, 2023.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
We realize there are always struggles when opening up a new business, especially a nonprofit, to help our community. One of those struggles was waiting for the necessary permits to open our business while still trying to help many people in need.

Thanks – so, what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
We are a nonprofit organization and secondhand store that sells new, used, and refurbished clothing and household items at everyday low prices for all to enjoy. We offer flat rate pricing on most of our clothing, clean all of our product before it goes onto the sales floor, and do our best to create a friendly, fun, and clean shopping experience for our community!

Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
One of the best qualities or characteristics that has been most important for our success has been perseverance. To face each day, one must understand the challenges or opportunities each day brings. Having our goals always in front of us each day and what we can do positively to reach those goals is an integral part of our success.
