Rising Stars: Meet July Jennifer Lamour of Oro Valley

Today we’d like to introduce you to July Jennifer Lamour.

Hi July, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today.
Hi, my name is July, like the month; the month I was born in. Jennifer is my middle name, so you can call me either.

I am an artist and always struggled with what to do with my life and what is calling to my soul journey. I delve into everything artsy; design, painting, poetry, and dance. I have also been an entrepreneur and businesswoman my entire life.

Recently, I felt “something else” was calling to me; what is it that I love to do, what have I always wanted to do, what am I good at and have a grand passion for? I have found my true destiny in SkinCare, allowing people to feel as amazing as they should and deserve via facials and making art in microblading.

In 2018 my Dad was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer and our deep conversation that meant the world to me, landed myself onto the steps of Aveda Institute of Tucson.

I began my journey in 2019 at this amazing school and found myself in a dreamland of skincare. During a microblading demo, I found my artist calling and became certified in microblading. My soul is deeply artistic, and this PMU (permanent make-up) beauty industry had me inspired.

Every day since being certified I have the luxury of creating beautiful PMU art on friends, then referrals falling into place thereafter. I am beyond humbled and grateful. Helping my clients (that also become friends) feel beautiful is the most rewarding gift, and in doing so, I feel so fulfilled after each appointment. Starting my life over at 42 has been a blessing, and I have my lovely clients to thank for this.

Can you talk to us about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned? Looking back, has it been easy or smooth in retrospect?
I’ve been very blessed with the most loyal and wonderful clients! Even through COVID times they waited patiently and when time persisted, we continued onto my journey together. They have been the key component in my growth as a business and holding my hand through my blossoming career. There are always struggles when it comes to boundaries and clients but the best thing you can do is move forward, grow and learn; all the while holding your head high and being respectful.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’m an esthetician. It sounds simple but there’s so much more.

I’m not only making beautiful souls feel beautiful in their skin; I allow them to be in a safe space of comfort, to have a time out for themselves and sometimes, a therapy session. Sometimes we laugh, sometimes we cry, and sometimes we are in tranquility. I use my hands to heal as I’m giving them the most beautiful glowing skin with results that keep my clients coming back for more.

We’re always in such a go-state of movement that when they come to me; they know it’s about a soulful and peaceful time out, all for them…like warm blanket.

If you want a relationship where we grow together, create a bond and have the most luxurious skin while being pampered, I am your girl. I truly love what I do and every person that walks through my door knows and feels this.
