Rising Stars: Meet Jerzi Alvarado

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jerzi Alvarado.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I am a business owner and social influencer with a love for the beautiful things in life! At 14, I became an influencer by default when my older brother Justice suggested I start a YouTube channel (he thought it would build my confidence). I really just started for something to do after school for fun with the family. Little did I know it would become my livelihood and so much of my life.

I also have Flutter by Jerz, an essential clothing brand I created to remind girls to love themself. My goal as an influencer is to spread love, and the importance of kindness toward everyone and to make a few people laugh along the way. I work really hard at maintaining my purpose in this life and being present along the way. My family is the most important thing to me and we have a lot of fun together which includes creating lots of content together. It definitely helps to stay motivated since we are all in the same industry! I continue to create, find fresh ideas for my audience, and grow.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Starting as an influencer at such a young age, the camera has watched me grow up from a girl to a young adult. It’s been a blessing as well as a challenge. Most girls don’t have every heartbreak, every broken friendship, and every mistake on the internet for the world to see. The other big challenge is staying relevant/creative enough to be fortunate enough to continue this path as my career.

After graduation, a lot of my friends went off to college. Watching them experience life was hard for me because I felt like I would really enjoy it too but I had a great opportunity as an influencer. While they were at frat parties, I was filming a video or working on a brand deal. Again, I have to remind myself of my purpose regularly.

Is there anyone you’d like to thank or give credit to?
