Today we’d like to introduce you to Jaron Ikner.
Hi Jaron, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I am a multimedia artist with a 20 year career built on the belief that storytelling is the ultimate currency. My journey started in the grassroots, DIY scene of Tucson and has evolved into a multi platform legacy spanning film, music, literature, and large scale production. Since moving to Phoenix in 2011, I have transitioned from a journalist and documentarian into the founder of Starstruck Multimedia LLC, a creative engine designed to help artists and brands share their perspectives with the world.
My professional standing is backed by a series of high level benchmarks, including the 2019 Maricopa Artist of Promise Award and multiple awards for my work in film. During my time as a writer for the Phoenix New Times, I interviewed icons like Sir Mix A Lot, Lil Dicky, and Fetty Wap, while consistently providing a platform for the Arizona art community. This experience in identifying and amplifying talent has allowed me to collaborate with major global brands like The NFL, Raw Papers, and Universatile Music/Relentless Beats. Today, that influence is visible in the numbers: Starstruck Multimedia has generated over 20 million views across our social networks.
As a curator and producer, I have managed over 700 showcases and spent two years curating the Tucson Hip Hop Festival. From 2022 to 2024, I led Star Camp Creative Labs, an initiative that provided a dedicated space for artists to refine their craft. While that project concluded in 2024, the lessons learned there continue to inform my work as a mentor and producer.
Under the Starstruck banner, I operate a hybrid record label and film production house. My portfolio includes several musical projects and books, such as my latest, Wishes Are Never Perfect, and the acclaimed film The Bond. My current focus is the highly anticipated feature film, Impossible Colors, which is slated for release in mid 2026. My goal remains the same: extracting the authentic stories that only a client can provide and turning them into organic campaigns that demand attention.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It hasn’t been a smooth road, but the challenges are what made the progress meaningful. Moving to Phoenix in 2011 was a major transition that forced me to sharpen my skills and my resolve. I spent years balancing high-volume freelance work with my own creative ambitions, which taught me that the only way to build something lasting is through consistency and a clear long term vision.
The journey has required a lot of evolution. As I shifted my focus toward building a legacy, I naturally outgrew certain situations and partnerships. While it is never easy to see people or collaborators move on, I’ve learned that growth often requires staying aligned with your goals depsite what stands in your way.
The key for me has always been perseverance. Whether I am producing a film or finishing a new book, I keep my eyes on the big picture rather than the temporary hurdles. Every obstacle has been a lesson in how to build a more resilient company and a more authentic body of work. I am playing the long game, and I am excited about where the momentum is taking Starstruck Multimedia next.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I specialize in all forms of media creation, ranging from video and film to writing and music. My work focuses on storytelling and extracting the specific perspectives that only a client can provide, which creates an authentic connection with their audience. Through organic marketing and grassroots campaigns, I have helped numerous artists and companies reach new benchmarks and heights.
As a writer, I contributed over 20 articles to the Phoenix New Times, where I interviewed artists like Lil Dicky, Sir Mix A Lot, and Fetty Wap. Beyond the big names, I prioritized providing a platform and exposure for local Arizona talent. I carry that same energy into Starstruck Multimedia, where we have generated over 20 million views across our social media networks by providing news, current events, and music-related content to the masses.
Alright so before we go can you talk to us a bit about how people can work with you, collaborate with you or support you?
