Today we’d like to introduce you to Lindsey J..
Hi Lindsey, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Sure! I grew up in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and from a young age, I was always interested in business and entrepreneurship. Essentially, I’d have an idea and my parents would help me bring it to life!
As I got older and graduated college, I landed my first full-time job as a marketing professional, where I honed my skills in digital marketing and social media management. During that time, I developed a passion for content creation and created my own brand.
Today, I still manage a full time marketing career while expressing my passion through influencer events and brand partnerships. I am grateful for the opportunities and experiences that have brought me to where I am today.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
I’d say that the biggest obstacle to navigate was being the “brand” vs managing someone else’s. It took be a long time to recognize that I needed to think of them differently.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I’m a marketing professional by day and a content creator by night – mostly on the weekends!
As a marketer and content creator, I am most proud of my ability to connect with audiences on a deeper level and evoke emotions through storytelling. I believe that storytelling is a powerful tool in marketing, and I always strive to create content that resonates with people on a personal level.
What sets me apart from others is my creativity and attention to detail. I am constantly pushing myself to think outside the box and come up with innovative ideas that will capture the attention of my target audience.
What sort of changes are you expecting over the next 5-10 years?
For content creation and marketing, I think they’ll be increased diversification of platforms. While YouTube and Instagram have traditionally been the dominant platforms for content creators, we are likely to see a greater diversification of platforms as new players enter the market. Platforms like TikTok, Twitch, and podcasting platforms are already gaining traction, and this trend is likely to continue.
