Rising Stars: Meet Irina Adams

Today we’d like to introduce you to Irina Adams.

Hi Irina, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today.
I have been a photographer for the past 6 years and I would like to say my journey started when I had my first child but I have always had an eye for photography and art. Prior to portrait photography and weddings, I was involved with oil painting. Today, I try to incorporate my love for both by creating portraits with a painted and blurry background look. My ultimate goal is to create a special memory for my clients to enjoy for the years to come.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Running a business is a very challenging yet rewarding journey. There are times when you feel proud and accomplished and there are times when you overwork yourself.

I specialize in portraits, couples, families, and weddings. Focusing my camera on one individual is my favorite because I can tell a story through my viewfinder and show that individual’s beauty and uniqueness.

Do you have any advice for those just starting out?
I would say to focus on your goals and your style. While it isn’t wrong to be inspired by other artists, it is important to set yourself apart and be unique.
