Rising Stars: Meet Heavynly Daly

Today we’d like to introduce you to Heavynly Daly. 

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I am a first-time entrepreneur. My boutique is very young but I’ve experienced and learned so much already. The changes you go through are astronomical – where I started versus where I am now is completely different! 

It started in 2017 when I was selling my personal items on the Poshmark app. I have since been inspired by my success there to start my own boutique – my way. In 2021, I took my first steps to opening my women’s boutique and am continuing to work hard to give it the quality my future customers deserve. 

The people and mentors I have met so far have been amazing and they push me to continue on this new journey. I encourage others in my position to check out score.org for valuable guidance. I also encourage you to find friends in the community – the support you’ll find is incredible!

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
My journey to starting this business has had its ups and has had its fair share of downs. Each obstacle I come across forces me to face the realities of starting a business, particularly during a pandemic. I am starting this boutique solely on my own, and feel grateful for the opportunity to learn and grow as a person alongside the boutique. The struggles I have give me more reason to believe I am a strong enough individual to make this a successful business. One step at a time! 

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
Aside from the my start-up, I work full-time at a B2B marketing company. Giving me five years of experience in management and the freedom to create and implement operational procedures, I have become confident in my ability to start a business of my own. So, I did! I’ve learned of the struggles and successes I can expect from not only starting a business, but making changes and transitioning after the fact, and it has been a fascinating adventure to experience. I’m excited to go through these steps with my own business and use my experience with this phenomenal marketing company to win the hearts of my future customers. 

Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
What makes me happy? That’s a hard question to answer because there are so many people and things that describe happiness for me. Lately, happiness has been the reward for hard work in multiple areas of my life. I believe that nothing is free, so in order to obtain happiness, I need to create an atmosphere for myself that welcomes it. It ranges from finding that silver lining to completely indulging in the outcome of my actions.
