Rising Stars: Meet Elisa Wiggins of Lake Havasu City, Arizona

Today we’d like to introduce you to Elisa Wiggins.

Elisa Wiggins

Hi Elisa; we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
My story begins with what I thought was hardship but turned out to be blessings and growth. My art was reborn and remembered deep within my soul during these times. Once I became aware of these gifts, I aligned with God and knew they were created through me. I am blessed and feel honored to create simply for my creator.

Let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what challenges have you had to overcome?
It has been a journey, one with curves and turns, bumps, mountains, and hills. It has been a roller coaster ride, and I love roller coasters! The road has been long but amazing. I wouldn’t change a single thing. Everything has brought me to who I am today: my connection with God, authenticity, a creator, a whole being filled with both Shadow and Light. Embracing it all and fully in love.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I love to play in many different art mediums, but my favorite and most grateful tool to create with is charcoal. It is a reminder of rising from the ashes—all the growth, love, compassion, forgiveness, and acceptance. Starting with ashes in charcoal invited me to create with the ashes of people and pets. So I infuse their ashes into works of art, Sacred Urns, either through charcoal drawings or combining them into crystals or paintings. I am most proud of my biggest art piece yet, and that was creating and opening Visionary LHC, a Healing Arts Gallery that hosted Open Mic nights for comedy, gentle yoga, guided meditation, intuitive art therapy classes, vocal sound baths for people to express emotions and simply a place to come and receive love, and for me to receive love as well. To come back home to their selves, heart and mind coherence, one. Visionary LHC was a sacred, safe place for people to be seen, heard, welcomed, and accepted for who they were, their heaviness, and their lightness. It helped me heal, the community to heal, for us all to unite in Union to help one another grow and find our voices. It was a place to get watered, and they watered me. And now, it is time for a new beginning as Visionary LHC brick-and-mortar ends. God has reminded me through many teachers that it is the Circle of life. I live life as if I’m in a romance movie, living life in color and dreaminess, so it is time for a new romance to begin! It is going to be a fantastic story! So keep watch, haha. I am deeply connected to my community, we inspire each other to be a part of one another. We are one.

What do you like and dislike about the city?
The city moves. It brings inspiration, structure, and energetic flow.
