Rising Stars: Meet Danielle Frazier of Ft Worth

Today we’d like to introduce you to Danielle Frazier.

Danielle Frazier

Hi Danielle, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I started my journey when I was just a teenager in middle school. Art and doing hair was my passion, so I started doing it more often daily. At the age of 16, I got into the modeling industry. Some agencies misled me, but I didn’t let that stop me. I loved the camera; everyone always told me I had the face for TV or a cover spread. I always played around in music in and out of school, doing freestyles in class and during recess. So you could say music was also a natural-born talent. As I got older, I took up art and cosmetology as my major in high school. I graduated with my licenses and certificates in cosmetology and nursing assistance. I worked for 2 shops and couldn’t see myself doing that for a living, so I opened up my full-service salon in 2014, then opened another studio in 2020, and everything has been ups and downs ever since. Still, all in a great way, it has helped me grow and prosper and become the female leader and entrepreneur I am today. I now do hair part-time and focus on my music, modeling, and 3 beautiful kids full-time.

Alright, let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what challenges have you had to overcome?
Over the years, I have endured many obstacles in the process. The 1st shop I opened up in 2014 was a learning process. It was going great for the first few months until my hot water tank fell through the bathroom ceiling. It took almost a month to fix it, so I had to stop services and close the shop until further notice. After that problem was fixed, we found a whole leading from my office to the outside, and rodents were getting in the building and slowed business, so I eventually closed it. I started doing hair from home for a couple of years and started focusing on building a modeling and promotion team. Everything was great initially, as always, until the competition started coming along, and my team started to shrink from joking about the competition. The venues I was working at started closing because they started taking on more business, which caused more problems, so I slowed down and just sat back and observed the scenes for a year or so. They popped back out at the end of 2022 with a hit single and video and came back in the game swinging and ready for every obstacle more than ever. It’s way more that has been in my way and has tried to stop me, but the person I am, I’ll never let that happen.

Thanks for sharing that. You could tell us more about your work.
I am more than just a hairstylist. I am a licensed professional. I am also a model, actor, and artist. I am not your typical female or average person. I am a jack of all trades and can do it all. I love to learn, which helps me grow, and I am confident in jumping into multiple projects or fields of study.

What matters most to you?
My kids matter most to me; everything I do is for them. They are the reason I breathe and strive so hard every day. I suffer from pain and illnesses to get up daily, see their face, and ensure they’re straight. I grind hard for them because I want to leave them a legacy when I leave this earth, and I don’t want my kids to look up to or ask anyone for anything. After all, they’ll already know how to do it. They motivate me to be a better me for them and the reason I strive for nothing but greatness.
