Rising Stars: Meet Clayton Duhamell

Today we’d like to introduce you to Clayton Duhamell.

Hi Clayton, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today.
I started by going to film school in 2015 and while I was there I began to get work in the industry. I was then able to get into a production studio working on big projects and learning more about the industry. I now run my own photography/film business and work all over doing many different productions.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Many ups and downs. Being in the entertainment/creative business comes with many different struggles at times.

Things like creative blocks, projects being canceled, tough clients, and lots of stress. but can be very rewarding.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I specialize in portraits/fashion when it comes to photography.

And for film, I mostly shoot weddings but have many other projects I work on.

I’m most proud of my creative work and the stuff I have done for magazines.

I think my art has its own unique style that sticks out from a lot of other creatives.

Can you talk to us a bit about the role of luck?
While I have worked very hard to get where I’m at, sometimes it just takes knowing the right person or being in the right place and time for things. It’s a tricky business.
