Rising Stars: Meet Cailey Gagen

Today we’d like to introduce you to Cailey Gagen.

Hi Cailey, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
My journey as a content creator is still so new and ever-evolving. I have always found a passion for social media and creating cohesive content. From an early age, I loved taking photos and being in front of the lens. I will save those for another time and story.  After I graduated from ASU with a degree in Exercise and Wellness I felt very lost, not sure what to do with this degree but always kept coming back to social media to cultivate a space for empowering others. It slowly started off as showing my health and wellness journey where I consistently showed what I would eat on a daily basis and my love for exercise. After becoming inspired to travel, I wanted my space to consist of travel tips and daily motivation. Searching to find myself, I realized traveling was difficult working a 9-5 job. I soon decided to create a lifestyle space where I showcase many of my day-to-day life, motivational quotes, life lessons, and soon my motherhood journey.

In May 2019, we found out we were pregnant and I started shifting my mindset from showing up as an FTM to empowering others who might be going through the journey. Late nights, turned into inspirations of content and just showcasing my real life of motherhood. Community has been my saving grace the last year, I have met some incredible people and reconnected with some amazing friends. I am so thankful for the space I call ‘LifeofCailey.Nicole’ and excited to see where my journey continues throughout the next couple of years.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
Absolutely not, the world of influencing and blogging is especially hard to get into as it’s a well-established industry. The hardest challenge for me was feeling accepted in this new lifestyle by close friends and family. I have always been a people pleaser and I soon realized if I want to be successful in this new role, people are going to support me no matter what. Every day I have made a promise to continue putting in the work and show up every day to receive the growth you want. However, I am up for the challenge and will continue working hard to make this one day my full-time job.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
Lifeofcailey.nicole is a motherhood, local business, and lifestyle space that aims to inspire others to be their best selves. Since I have started this page, it has been so vital for me to share small businesses that heavily rely on word of mouth for business. I have learned we are ‘All in This Together’ of creating our brand and business. My goal is to not only share the local goods and services but also share the motherhood hardships and empower other mamas they’re not alone. As women, we need to stand together and empower each other. Not only can others find simple styles and my current favorite beauty trends, but also our journey through motherhood on my page. I want my little space on Instagram to be where they can follow along on my journey and know they are not alone. hope to bring happiness and encouragement to all that visit my page.
