Rising Stars: Meet Braden Chalmers

Today we’d like to introduce you to Braden Chalmers. Them and their team share their story with us below:

Braden Chalmers is the Founder & Owner of BC Ranch Sitters. From a young age, Braden has had a passion for animals. His love of ranching came way through his in-laws who own a ranch on the central coast of California. This is where Braden developed his experience and love for large animals and ranching. His in-laws find it hard to go on vacation and family trips out of fear of leaving the animals in the care of someone they can’t trust to do the job the way they would. Braden wanted to allow other families to live the ranch life while spending time with friends and family knowing their ranch is being well taken care of.

Braden joined the military as a logistics management specialist and served 12 years and three deployments. When he’s not ranch sitting you can find Braden working the bucking and stripping chutes at rodeos all around Arizona. He like to hunt, fish and spend time outdoors in addition to the volunteer in the bucking chutes stuff. In his spare time, Braden enjoys spending time with his wife, Skyler, and adorable pup Charles. They love to go camping with friends, ride horses, and travel as much as they can!

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Just starting up and gaining the confidence of customers.

We know how difficult it is to leave your ranch when you have so many responsibilities. We offer two ranch sitting options that provide the proper care for your animals. We also offer overnight visits which include house sitting services.

What was your favorite childhood memory?
My favorite childhood memories are listening to my Great Grandpa Tex talk about being a cowboy and working on ranches across the western US.
