Rising Stars: Meet Ally Dippert of Scottsdale

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ally Dippert

Hi Ally, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
Starting from about 12 years old I had always wanted to be in the beauty world. Whether that meant doing hair, makeup, skin, I loved it all. Coming from a background where my parents were both successful business owners, I had always had a dream of owning my own salon. Originally from a small town in Alaska, I knew the opportunity wasn’t the biggest there so I made my way to Arizona in September of 2018 after graduating high school in May 2018. I started beauty school in Scottsdale at Penrose Academy October 2019. Graduating from Penrose in October 2019, I had already secured a job at a smaller salon in Scottsdale to start an extensive assistant program underneath the owner. At that salon i really dove deep into color formulation and precision haircuts expanding my knowledge from beauty school. I worked with all different types of clientele, men, women, kids. I built up my career and clientele there via walk ins/ social media. I worked there for about 2 years, to then move to a different salon where I continued to service the North Scottsdale area.
Recently, I made a decision to go into business for myself. I opened AllyB Hair Company in November 2024 and have suite where I am servicing clients and doing what I love. Helping people and having personal relationships with my clients is the light of my day. Of course, I love doing hair but it makes my job so much more rewarding while hearing about clients lives and going through the motions of life with them.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
The hair business has its ups and downs, I think finding an environment in a salon that is positive is a huge part of making the job fun and enjoyable.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I service a wide range of clients, from men’s hair, color, blonding, redheads, and women’s haircuts. I found a passion for color early on in the industry. I love the chemistry side of formulating personalized color for my clients based on skin tone and what looks best on them. Haircuts are personalized via head shape and practicality for the clients everyday life. I want to make their hair easy for them to style at home.

What’s next?
Over the next few years, I would love to keep building my clientele and be able to eventually add an employee to my business.
