Rising Stars: Meet Alisa Simpson

Today we’d like to introduce you to Alisa Simpson.

Hi Alisa, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
About several years ago, I decided I wanted to get into the fashion industry. I wasn’t sure what exactly about the industry I wanted to venture in. I knew I wanted to do something being a single mother of three, two daughters and one son I knew I would have limited time and availability to do a lot so I decided whatever I did it would be on-line. Taking the idea to my kids they my daughters where excited and my son, well he’s a boy he didn’t care one way or the other (Lol). Although if I ever needed anything we was with us to assist. I started out naming my business T’s Jeans and things. The T’s was an assortment of T-Shirts, I sold Levi’s for men and women, purses, shoes and accessory’s. I was trying to find my niche of what I liked the most to sale. About a year into doing this I decided I would women’s clothes that seem to sale the best. Trendy fashions that suited the ages of 18 to 60 or even older. At this point I wanted to change the name and I also enlisted my daughters into the website and we then became the mother daughter Trio. I wanted my daughters to see even being single raising the three of them we can still have goals that can be accomplished as long as you don’t give up. The new name originated from a friend of mine who felt I myself was a very alluring women so why don’t I name if Allure.. “Hmmm” why not!. That day some years back what was formally know as T’s Jeans and Things became Allure Fashions by Alisa.

Once I changed the name my daughters and I came up with these words to add to our website. “Allure Fashions Provides comfortable, yet chic clothing that is flattering from every angel. Fueled by a love for fashion back in 2014, this mother/daughter trio started this dynamic clothing line to appeal to the modern women looking for standout style, innovative designs and a perfect fit. You will always be flawless in Allure Fashions”. Today we are now getting back on our feet since COVID. I had a drop in sales as expected. We never gave up I would continue to promote on all the Social Media Sites and my daughters would do the same. I can say we never gave up and are now moving back in to the positive. It’s not easy but I’m never going to give up until Allure Fashions is known by at least a million people and once we reach that million I’m going to push to reach two million!!!

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
No it hasn’t been smooth especially since Covid. Prior to Covid my struggles was trying to decide what items to purchase for my website trying to decide peoples likes and dislikes. Also finding the right wholesaler with good quality clothes.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I’m an administrative assistant for the Vice President of Fine Wine. This year June I will have been at my company for 25yrs.

Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
Seeing my kids happy! Watching my kids grow into what they are becoming makes me so happy. Knowing that they know I’m their biggest fan and supporter.
