Meet Julia Rizik in Scottsdale

Today we’d like to introduce you to Julia Rizik.

Julia, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I started singing when I was 11 just for something to do after school. I joined a local vocal studio and one night they were holding an open-mic night. I signed up but as I was about to go on stage, I suddenly got terrible stage fright and ran to the bathroom, crying and throwing up. My sister encouraged me to face my fears…so I did. Ever since, I have been addicted to performing.

After that night, I caught the songwriting-bug and picked up any instrument I could get my hands on.

Now, I’m performing at major music festivals and sponsored by Fender. I spend a lot of time in Nashville, writing, performing, and recording. I feel so blessed to have the opportunities that have come my way.

Has it been a smooth road?
Anything that is worth it, is never easy. This journey has had its challenges but so many rewards as well.

So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Julia Rizik story. Tell us more about the business.
I am a singer and songwriter. I sing contemporary country music. I’ve performed the National Anthem at several sporting events. My most recent accomplishment was singing at the country music festival, Stagecoach in California.

A lot of my inspiration comes from love and heartbreak. I love writing music that people can relate to…

How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
I hope to see more female country acts breaking out in the next 5-10 years and I would like to be a part of this big shift.
