Meet Vincent Ruiz of LOBO Fitness in Gainey Ranch

Today we’d like to introduce you to Vincent Ruiz.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Vincent. So, let’s start at the beginning, and we can move on from there.
I started in Los Angeles after meeting a trainer who used to take me on private outdoor cycle rides. He was associated with Lance Armstrong and Nike. I then developed a passion for indoor cycling.

I worked for a sports company in Beverly Hills that allowed me to educate myself on the art of instruction. After years of learning, I was offered a teaching position. From that, I grew into a Group fitness instructor, College educator and studio owner.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I’ve had a nice smooth path. People told me I had a special art to getting people to move.

You want to draw peoples attention. You have to direct and lead with example. I’ve really enjoyed the journey.

Please tell us about LOBO Fitness.
I’m a fitness enthusiast. I love high energy fitness, formatted classes. I had 24 hours to come up with my brand and name. Lobo Fitness came into my mind. Lobo in Latin means wolf. Wolf is the symbol of guardianship, ritual, loyalty, and spirit.

We need to trust our own instincts, we teach you to trust your own hearts and minds. I love to teach people to trust how they can move their bodies. With proper instruction, all can be achieved and at times try new ways and systems.

What’s your outlook for the industry in our city?
This city has 1000’s and 1000’s of studios. You need to firm on your ideas, make it unique to who you are. Be a little different. The more people know, the better.
