Meet Victoria Sanchez

Today we’d like to introduce you to Victoria Sanchez.

Every artist has a unique story. Can you briefly walk us through yours?
I’ve always had a passion for art! It grew more when I started working for a company, and one of my jobs was prepping for my co worker’s birthdays. Their cards were pretty bland, and I wanted to make them special, so I started drawing some meaningful pictures of their families and pets. They loved them! Some people got pretty emotional. Then I started getting more detailed and started coloring and painting pictures. Then I started working outside of a job, and once I started posting my work on my social media, I began doing tons of commissions. My pieces consist of portraits, pets, sceneries, fan, and pop art. Whatever people ask me to do Im fully confident I can paint it. I love seeing people reactions especially when I know it’s a meaningful piece such as of a passed loved one. Thats what motivates me, bringing back something to life for someone to look at every day and make them happy. Painting began as a hobby and is now my side hustle that I wish to do full time one day.

Please tell us about your art.
I use spray paints and acrylics. My work consists of portraits, animals, sceneries, buildings, pop art, fan art, and my own personalized pieces. The pop art and that kind of stuff are just fun things I enjoy doing to add some character to people’s walls. I get asked to do alot of portraits of pets and past loved ones. I enjoy doing these because its something people always admire and get emotional about. Im always honored to be able to turn a memory into something someone can look at every day and bring happiness to their heart.

Do you have any advice for other artists? Any lessons you wished you learned earlier?
Keep going. Being an artist is not for the weak. Critiques are everywhere. There’s always room for improvement and to test your skill. Rejection is your biggest test in this business. It tests how bad you want it.

How or where can people see your work? How can people support your work?
I’m very active on social media. I promote my work on my Facebook business page The Artist Victoria and Instagram TheArtist_Victoria. I also just did a showcase with RAW Artists and received alot of business from that
