Meet Veronica Tallabas of Mica’s Beauty Bar

Today we’d like to introduce you to Veronica Tallabas.

Veronica, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
The passion for makeup started at a very young age as I would watch my sisters get ready. When I started experimenting with makeup up, it was right after I experienced a traumatic situation in which I turned to art as a form of healing.

I then started Mica’s Beauty Bar as a service, doing makeup on other people to help rid of social anxiety. After meeting several beautiful faces, I learned so much about makeup and the different types of makeup and most importantly how it was made and tested. I only wanted to use the best of the best on my client’s faces, so Mica’s Beauty Bar cosmetic line started. I was complimented on the pigmentation of the palettes and the long wear of the matte liquid lipsticks, so the online store was formed.

Has it been a smooth road?
There will always be a struggle when your a full-time mom, wife, student and Aspiring Entrepreneur. Time is something you just can’t buy. Money was always another stumble for me as trade shows, and travel can be very costly. To smooth out the costs I turned to social media marketing, and fundraising events. I also reached out to a few influencers and sent out some pr packages to help get the word out.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with Mica’s Beauty Bar – tell our readers more, for example, what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
Micas Beauty Bar is known to hold only vegan and cruelty-free makeup. We are proud to provide cosmetics with great quality and not hurt any animals in the process. We are also known for being affordable, which is hard to come by these days with awesome quality cosmetics.

Mica’s Beauty Bar is also a service business as I, the owner still take makeup appointments. Though we may sound like any other aspiring makeup store, what sets us aside from others is we do not want to be that store that’s out of reach or only online, we plan to put this dream on some wheels one day.

What are you striving for, what criteria or markers have you set as indicators of success?
To me success is defined by the beholder, I feel I have succeeded since the day my business gained its LLC. Everyday someone is given an opportunity to do something amazing whether it be a small step forward or a milestone met. I am just striving to be better every day.
