Today we’d like to introduce you to Veronica Regueira.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Veronica. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
Exploring Phoenix started soon after a vacation spree I took to NYC back in 2017. I had been blogging before that, however not as avidly as I do now. Something about that experience left me feeling very empowered and with a strong desire to keep that vacation vibe alive. I started a new profile and became a tourist in my town. The goal was simply to: Explore. The new profile worked great as an excuse to keep the adventures going but had to inspire others too.
Collaborations are the new black! Its the easiest way to get out there, everyone wins, and since Exploring Phoenix had to have a sense of community, it couldn’t be the aesthetic only kind of content rather it had to be deeper and very authentic and that’s what really facilitated the connection with locals and ultimately the overwhelming support I’ve had from the small idea of wanting others to discover the beauty Phoenix has to offer.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I have been reflecting a lot on what life is now. Starting my journey in Phoenix was shockingly not the hardest and that is mostly due to an overwhelming sense of community that I found here, and I must add, the Latino community was a lifesaver as I am Latina as well.
Please tell us your work.
Exploring Phoenix will surely inspire you to get out there, and take advantage of living in the wonderful Valley of the Sun! It will get you learning some local history, finding RAD street art, or discovering who has the best waffles in town!
