Meet Venesa Chee of Allure Boudoir Photography

Today we’d like to introduce you to Venesa Chee.

Venesa, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I started my photography business with no education and no experience. I started off by offering all services and then after one boudoir session. I fell in love with the feeling of empowering others through art. My goal is to empower individuals and build their confidence. I have a master’s degree in social work and have a passion for advocating for others and helping others become self-empowered. I feel fortunate that I can pursue this passion both professionally and through photography. Photography is something I have always loved and begun by taking photos of families and big life events, but I found that my favorite sessions were artistic and boudoir.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It has not always been smooth as I was trying to figure out my niche. Once I found it, it has been smooth sailing from there.

We’d love to hear more about the business.
I am so proud of the women and men that come in and trust me to create beautiful art that they can then share with those they love and treasure themselves. I think that something that sets me apart is the rapport I build with my clients before our session even begins—the feeling of trust and empowerment.

Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?
I’ve been very lucky to have such an amazing support system and have so many amazing Hair and Makeup artists that have become like family.
